So this has been a revelation. I’m loving being up early and now routinely find myself waking in advance of my 5am alarm. Ironically, I’m sure in Medical School I was taught that was a symptom of depression. To be frank, I don’t care. It’s been one of the best things I’ve ever done and I’ve been at it for a few weeks now. When else would I have seen skies like this…

I’d say the highlights are:

Being outside for an hour every morning when the rest of the world is still asleep (I’m writing this at 05:45am).

The feeling of accomplishment before the day has even started and the “spare” time that has appeared as a result.

Meditation (who knew it would be so beneficial).

Plank – I’m now up at 3min 2sec (although only managed 2 min today).

As per my last entry about this, I’ve summarised his plan with some adaptations and I would encourage everyone, EVERYONE, to do this every day. It’s incredible. I’ve been handing out these sheets to friends, family and patients like there is no tomorrow and the feed back has been remarkable. Please feel free to pass this around and/or try it yourself.
